NTS Data Center Facility Provisions

• Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), and battery power backup
• Climate controlled environment separate from the building HVAC
• Cooling and electrical capacity that is planned and monitored for outages
• Secured access to the facility
• Capability to change "access codes" to facility if personnel changes warrant
• Automated fire detection and suppression systems
• Two-post 19" or 23" relay racks for equipment mounting
• Cabinet space (available in specifically designed locations)

Data Center Procedures

Data Centerexpectations and operating procedures are followed in all NTS Data Center facilities and enforced to provide high quality, safe, and reliable service for all customers. 

Equipment tampering is prohibited and should be immediately reported to the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) at 1-HELP (612) 301-4357. OIT immediately and permanently revokes access to OIT Data Center facilities for tampering or unacceptable behavior.
